I’ve had a very interesting time since last I posted.
Lightning struck a tree near our cabin last night and there were terrible storms for several hours.
I took as much of a shower as I could this morning, considering that the sinks here have 15 times the water pressure of the showers. And I’m almost certain that the German man in the next shower over was smoking while he showered…
I went to the Kennedy Space Center this morning and went strait to the Star Trek exhibit.
They had all kinds of props and costumes and I even snuck over the railing and had my picture taken with Worf.
I went on a space shuttle take off simulator that simulated what it would feel like to travel at 17,000 mph.
I then did the Star Trek Live show and bought a Tribble.
Finally, we took a tour bus over the the Saturn V Rocket Center where they had the command modules from several of the Apollo missions.
/p>They also had a full-sized replica of The Robot from Lost in Space. It had been my dream for years to built my own working replica of this robot, and now I am more eager than ever to do so.
I came back to the campground and watched “The Trouble with Tribbles” with my Tribble, which I christened, “Gary.”
Even though the day is almost over, I still have a lot more in store in the next few days.
